YSO LEADERSHIP
Dear Friends of the York Symphony Orchestra,
We're excited to kick off our 93rd season at the York
Symphony Orchestra (YSO) while celebrating the
100th anniversary of the Strand Theatre at the Appell
Center for the Performing Arts. These milestones not
only reflect a century of dedication to the arts but
also serve as a testament to the enduring power of
music to unite our community. Our 2025-26 Season
promises to feature both timeless classics and
contemporary works while showcasing the incredible
talent of our musicians and guest artists. In addition to
breathtaking concerts, we will host Pre-Concert Talks,
Master Classes, post-concert dessert receptions, and
opportunities to meet the musicians.
As the YSO looks to the future, we are focused on excellence, innovation, and
inclusivity. Our strong focus on education includes enriching programs for
school students, Young Person's Concerts, student tickets for concerts, and the
York Summer Music Academy where the YSO and York College inspire the next
generation of artists. We are passionate about initiatives that foster a love of
music in young hearts and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
As we step into this new season together, we warmly invite you to join us in
celebrating the beautiful blend of history and innovation. Your support plays
a vital role in helping us create unforgettable musical experiences and build
a thriving arts community. As you attend our concerts, join our educational
workshops, or simply share our mission with friends, know that your
involvement truly makes a difference.
